Alzheimers Awareness
Carolyn King is giving away some awesome blog candy in honor of World Alzheimer's Day (9/21/08). Her grandmother suffered from the disease and she has designed a stamp set that will help raise money to help fight the disease. (A recently released set through Gina K Designs called Whimsical Autumn.) I am sure we all know someone who has been affected by Alzheimer's, my Paternal Grandmother who will be 89 in November has early stages of Alzheimer's. It is so difficult living so far away from her and hearing her confusion when I call or from my Mother when she tells me about my Grandmother.

Beautiful card. I'm sure they will appreciate that very much. I visit with the staff daily at the Alzheimers unit where my Dad is at. Not an easy place to work. They can get VERY attached to their patients and then again its so hard to deal with problem ones. (So far, my dad is NOT a problem one.)
