Alone

I am alone
alone
alone
and I cry
at night all alone
daylight I am someone different
a mask I wear
failing at times to hide everything
the anger leaks through to you
and inside I am sad
Swimming in a sadness
that I can not escape
my reflection in the water is who I want to be
I swim towards my reflection reaching out
never tiring, always swimming
the reflection is elusive and we have yet to merge as one
I swim in the sadness and see no escape
why doesn't the reflection offer me help?
