Today I worked with the AWESOME cartridge Word Collage..
I attempted to make wall decor for my DD
since her room is painted pink and she is not into nursery rhymes
I opted for the Paris, Rome, London, Milan Collage.
I started by cutting the collage out on contact paper (I don't have any vinyl)
I cut it at fit to page 10.5x10.5
I then placed it on the canvas
and painted the canvas hot pink
I let that dry and then painted it black instead
I didn't want to do pink on pink
Then I peeled the letters off and some of the paint bled underneath
so I brushed lightly pink all over the canvas in spots then used a paper towel to give it texture
then I painted over the canvas with a glitter paint
**That is why the L is flood filled with pink and the other letters have some pink**
I do like the effect though
Close up of the Glitter paint I used
My next project was created using the same cartridge but I used the Chomas Gel Pens and Holder
to create a different look.
I used the Boom Pow Word Collage
perfect for a boy/male/superhero card
This is it simple in black ink and framed
I used topic copic markers to color in some of the words, I wanted to give it an
unfinished look.
My Dad Hero, I thought fit pretty well as the sentiment This was a dollar stamp from Michaels
I actually made this card out of vellum.
I started by printing a 12x12 sheet of White Daisy Cardstock (CTMH)
with the saying Boom Pow at 3x5 and autofilled
then I cut it down to fit the frame and the card front
Thanks for hopping along. Be sure to come back tomorrow for day 2 and a whole new line up!
