I created this fun Project as a centerpiece for a fun little gathering I had
There were smaller ones and different colors, but I only ended up taking a photo of this guy.. shame on me
Project Details:
Cricut Imagine
Cricut Craft Room
Cricut Imagine Pattern Cartridge Notebook Doodles
CCR Exclusive Digital Pinwheels
DCWV Paper
Straw
Vase
Candy
I filled the vase with some tissue paper (as the candy kept disappearing before my camera charged for the photo) then placed the candy on top of it
I opened CCR to use the imagine I took the Pinwheel image and had it fit to the mat
I then filled it with the pattern from Notebook Doodles of Monsters in Mustaches (sooo cute)
I took the DCWV Pattern paper and placed it face down on the mat so the image I was about to Print and Cut would do so on the unprinted side of the paper
By doing this I was able to have my own Double sided paper that co-ordinated!Yeah!
I took a Diamond headed pin and used it to secure the pinwheel together
I used my jeweler pliers to bend the pin in the back
after punching a hole through a straw (I didn't have any dowels on hand, just a bunch of McDonalds straws) and I secured the pinwheel through the straw and placed it in the candy filled vase. So much Fun!
This card was created using the cartridge Stencil
I also created this card on my Imagine though you can do the same thing with patterned paper on the Cricut Expression, E2 etc to achieve the same effect.
In CCR I used a square the size of my card 5 x6.5 from CCR Basic Shapes
so that I could size my cuts appropriately
after they were sized and placed in the square where I wanted them to be I deleted the square (as it is a piece I am not using)
Stencil Cartridge Cuts
Peace Symbol
Heart with Love
CCR Basics Cuts
ampersand (&)
I filled the Peace symbol with a pattern from Notebook Doodles
and I filled the Heart Cut with a solid coordinating color
from the cartridge
and filled the ampersand with blue form the solid colors on the cartridge
When it came to put the card together I actually had lost the inside of the O
so instead of printing another one I just used some glue and
recollections small beads to create the piece I lost
The inside of the card is stamped with a sentiment by Inkadinkadoo
Black CS from Recollections
White CS From CTMH White Daisy
