CCR Monday

Hello Monday! Today I am posting as DT Member of the My Cricut Craft Room Design Team. Today is all about Cricut Craft Room.
I used my Imagine, the Cricut Craft Room and the Cricut Craft Room Basics Cartridge.

This cartridge has some FANTASTIC shapes!
A onesie shape, heart, duck some FABULOUS shapes to choose from!

I used the onesie shape layered it
and the duck shape
to create this boy onesie card
I also used the rectangle shape to create the blue background

The white background was created using wordle art and printing
I added baby themed words and such for my Niece's upcoming Baby Shower.

Thanks for stopping by today, be sure to
check out the My Cricut Craft Room DT Posts for today!

After a year of being in the My Cricut Craft Room I have stepped down as a Design Team Member. I thank Erica for the opportunity of working with her on her Design Team for the length that I did and I enjoyed being a part of the Design Team.
Thank you for giving me a reason to use my Cricut more often.

Theme Thursday

Welcome to Theme Day Thursday with My Cricut Craft Room..
Todays Theme is Patriotic..

What I chose to do was create a table top piece for my dessert table for the 4th of july..

It is really simple, sparkly and just a little bit of a nice touch..

This is SUPER Glittery!
On the words Pursuit of Happiness
there are 3 Layers
Base - Blue
Shadow - White
Top - Red

The Blue & Red layers have been run through my xyron and given a good heaping
of glitter to them.. I had to use Diamond Glass and a weight to make sure
the layers glued together ..

The anchor represents my husband and his naval career
Shadow is Blue top layer is glittered red

The flowers were not the blue I wanted so I added some spray adhesive to the blue flowers then sprinkled the blue glitter on them

After our 4th of July Party I can add a small photo to this or remove the flowers and add a little bit of a larger photo and then place it in a frame..

The piece measures 5x7
I used Chipboard and adhered some White CS to the top
I then cut a piece of chipboard and scored it to make the stand for the
piece and glued it to the back

Be sure you check out the My Cricut Craft Room blog today to see what
the other DT Members have created today.

Father's Day

What a FUN Father's Day today!
We had the in-laws (Mother & Sister) Fly in today
went out to lunch ran around and when we got home at 5pm.. I went right into the kitchen
to start prepping everything for the BBQ..

We had Pork Riblets I used a new recipe with
Brown Sugar (splenda) and they came out DELICIOUS!!

Tons of food gave the Hubby his gifts and Cake!!

I also used Authentique Paper from the Free Bird Series NEST
as well as American Crafts CS for the embossed Gray paper
Nestabilities Die
and 3M Foam Adhesive
Black ink and Memento Bahama Mama Ink

This is the card I made for my kids to give to their Dad
today..

I took this picture for the Getting Cricky Challenge

In my quest for reducing packaging to leave a smaller carbon footprint on this earth, I asked Starbucks about bringing in a cup, and they sold me TWO eco-friendly resuable tumblers for 14.99! They are BUY ONE GET ONE this week! This means every time you grab a cold coffee you can SAVE the earth from unnecessary plastic packaging that will sent for a hundred years under the earth! TOTALLY awesome! Send me a picture of YOU with your reusable COFFEE mug (any type/brand) and I'll enter you into a drawing for 50.00 worth of STAMPS!!!!

I love this picture of Draco & Luna sleeping on the windowsill in my craft room

WYEGW

After the catastrophe of the NEW build release, and having to re-install and re-start my computer I am happy to report my Imagine is working! Yeah! Though I am worried about a troublesome click noise like something is snapping while cutting, but what can I do?

Back to todays post!

Today is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday over at My Cricut Craft Room and
as a Design Team Member I chose to work with the
Birthday Cakes cartridge to create something for you today..

I of course never know what I am going to do when I sign up for the days that I post..

I am LOVING shaped cards right now so I started with that in mind and looked at several image options on the cart.. I didn't want to do something I have done before so this time I chose this cute little bouquet cut.

After it was cut out I heat embossed the green layer with Zing Embossing Powder
and the flowers I used Stickles and or Doddlebug Glitter
and added these cute little flat green gems by Recollections
I also added glitter to the ribbon..

It is a cute card, not my favorite that I have made but it's cute..
If I had to do it again I think I might use some pattern paper or something, it feels
like it needs something more... LOL

Have a FABULOUSLY crafty Hump Day and be sure
to check out My Cricut Craft Room to see what the
other DT members have cooked up for you today!

Cricut Craft Room Update Build 151

After updating the Cricut Craft Room to build 151 my Cricut Imagine stopped communicating with the Cricut Craft Room.

So i went to Cricut Sync and found out my Imagine was a little behind as I needed to update it. I did that and restarted my computer and voila communication with the CCR Program and my Imagine started..

However my machine would only print and not cut, no matter if I chose cut only or print and cut it would only Print and just mimic the motions/time of cutting and spit the paper out uncut..

FRUSTRATED!! That is what I was, very very frustrated.. I have all kinds of projects due and my Imagine is MY main machine..

Thankfully a DT Sister Shelley Peeler posted this today:

here is a link for people to revert back to the old version of craftroom so that they can cut with the imagine again.... Didn't know if you would want it on your regular page or not so I am leaving that up to you!!!

http://www.cricut.com/imaginedownload.aspx

I downloaded this installed it, chose replace current version and then had to restart my computer. After restarting my computer I chose 2 new images to print & cut from the Lori's Garden Cartridge and CCR & the I communicated beautifully and print and cut both images for me!!

Yeah!

So if you updated and are having issues you can revert back, I believe this is build 133.
Don't forget to restart your computer!

I hope to be beach next week with a lot more projects since my machine is now communicating with what I consider my Cricut part of my brain! LOL

Oh and I do not know if I ever shared this!! But here ya go, have fun with it!
