Woot! Wednesday Everyone! Halfway through the work week! It's my turn to post as DT Member for Pinque Peacock and I am sharing with you a simple 5 minute or less card, and it still makes an impact because of the colors and the Sweet Swirl..
Sometimes simple is best, I don't like to spend hours agonizing over a card or project though sometimes it does happen.. So when I pulled out my stash of Pinque Peacock products I grabbed this lovely SweetSwirl, I am loving the color combo Jess created!
Using up scraps from my desktop, I pulled the base card from a slate piece of cardstock and cut it down to 4.25x5.5, I then used a piece I cut off of the card to stamp the sentiment on. The Green pattterned paper is from Echo Park This & That and I cut it to fit the base cardstock. I glued the green cardstock to the base, then added the extra strip of slate with the sentiment, I then added the sweet swirl but thought it was missing something so I added some bling to the middle of the flower.
The card to me still needed a little something, so I pulled out my distresser block and distressed the edges of the cardstock pieces and I used my We R Memory keepers corner chomper and rounded the corners of the card.. Voila, my card was finished! It now sits in my stash until I need a card and can stamp the appropriate sentiment, or hand write a note on the inside.
