Brining Paper to Life Blog Hop

Welcome to the Journey Blog Hoppers Hop!  We will be Bringing Paper to Life with our 2017-2018 Idea Book & Catalog Release Theme!

I'm so happy you're hoppin' along! If you have arrived here from Kim's blog, you're on the right track.  If not, that's ok too! Just continue the hop and you'll come full circle!

The first project I am sharing with you is from the Mystic Romance Collection in our New 2017-2018 Idea Book & Catalog. I took a piece of Rich Coral Cardstock to create the card base, I cut a piece of 8.5x11 card stock in Half. For the card front, I used Whip cream cardstock, I then inked up the stamp set Embroidered Rose and chose a rose image and using Rich Coral Fusion Ink I randomly stamped the front of the whip cream cardstock piece. I then took my limeade splash and randomly added leaves.

Originally I loved the front panel so much I was going to place the sentiment on the inside of the card. I decided to go ahead and trim a piece of whip cream cardstock for the sentiment.
Using the sentiment beautiful from the stamp set Beauty Blooms I inked it in black licorice and adhered it to the front panel. I then finished assembling my card and added sparkle silk.

The stamp sets I used today are so beautiful together and alone. The Embroidered Rose gives off that exact look of embroidery and the sentiment Beautiful gives a crisp clear image of a stitched sentiment.

The Next Card I created I used the Stamp Set Harvest Wreath in the Holiday Section of the New Catalog & Idea Book.

I paired this stamp set with the Journey Circles Die, using the largest circle die and piercing element on whip cream card stock. I used my favorite go to cardstock base color, Riverstone to create the card.

Using Black Licorice (in the future I will use Oatmeal Cookie as the base color) I stamped the wreath
Using Dark Roast and Lime Ade splash I chose a leaf from the Stamp Set and randomly filled up the wreath with the leaves stamp in alternating colors.

To finish it off I added a Ribbon at the top of the card
and stamped the sentiment thanks at the bottom of the card.

I just love the font on this stamp set, the sentiments all look and stamp beautifully straight from the packaging no conditioning of the stamps needed, one of my FAVORITE things about Fun Stampers Journey!
